Bird-Loving Yogis Flock to Vallarta Breeze Yoga

Featured Birds sighted at the Studio

Below are some of the tropical feathered friends that have been either seen or their song has been identified from the studio. The list grows daily, we will add pictures as we are able to catch clear images but we hope our students will capture the photos for us! Till then, click the links to be brought to images and info.

Magnificent Frigatebird

These aerial acrobats glide effortlessly on tropical breezes, their long, angular wings and forked tails making them a marvel in flight. Males even showcase a striking red throat pouch during their courtship displays.

Snowy Egret

Elegant and graceful, the Snowy Egret is instantly recognizable by its pristine white plumage, slender black legs, and bright yellow feet. Often seen wading in shallow waters, it evokes a sense of tranquility. We see these beauties making their way to and from the Cuale river.

Orange-Fronted Parakeet

These vibrant green parrots, accented with a splash of orange on their foreheads, bring an uplifting burst of color and cheerful chatter to the treetops. These little parrots swarm in such numbers that they sometimes cast a significant shadow as they fly over the studio. There are several trees around here that they seem to really enjoy.

Military Macaw

A true tropical treasure, the Military Macaw looms large with its emerald-green feathers and bold red forehead, adding a regal touch to the aviary display. We most often see these flying to or from the Cuale river valley – They nest up stream from here.

Masked Tityra

With a distinctive black mask and soft, pale plumage, the Masked Tityra is an intriguing sight, often found perched quietly in the canopy.

Black-Throated Magpie-Jay

This striking bird, with its vivid blue plumage, long tail, and charismatic crest, never fails to captivate with its playful antics.

Great Kiskadee

Known for its bold yellow belly and unmistakable call, the Great Kiskadee injects life and energy into the surroundings.

Tropical Kingbird

A master of aerial maneuvers, the Tropical Kingbird is frequently seen darting through the air in search of insects, a true emblem of agility.

Northern Mockingbird

Famed for its remarkable ability to mimic other birds, the Northern Mockingbird enriches the natural soundtrack with a diverse chorus of sounds.

Yellow-Green Vireo

This small, olive-green bird delights with its gentle presence and sweet, melodic tunes that echo throughout the studio environs.

Streak-Backed Oriole

Flashy with its vibrant orange and black plumage, the Streak-Backed Oriole is a visual treat and a lively part of our tropical mosaic.

Blue Bunting

A rare gem among our sightings, the Blue Bunting’s deep blue feathers glisten in the sunlight, making every glimpse a cherished moment.

Cinnamon-Bellied Saltator

With its warm cinnamon belly and melodious song, the Cinnamon-Bellied Saltator adds a comforting and vibrant note to our daily avian chorus.

Bold and boisterous, the Great-Tailed Grackle is celebrated for its iridescent black plumage and distinctive calls, making it an unforgettable part of our studio’s soundscape.
